Afarin Bellisario is a bridge between East and West, technology, and human condition, past and present. Born and raised in Tehran in a family with its feet in the past and its head in the future, she earned her PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US and led a successful career in high-tech in the US. But writing had always been her passion. Having published professionally in Iran, she has published essays and op-eds in the US. Today, she mentors startups, teaches and writes about the clash between tradition and modernity.
