His dramatic writing won an Alfred P. Sloan Grant in 2008 and 2009, respectively, as well as the Kennedy Center’s 2009 Paula Vogel Award.
He earned his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2009.
He has placed as a semifinalist or higher in over ten different national and international contests and grant competitions, including The Academy’s Nicholl Fellowship, the American Zoetrope Screenplay Competition, the Scriptapalooza International Screenplay Competition, and the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards.
He has worked steadily as a professional screenwriter in Hollywood with A-list producers and directors like George Tillman Jr. (THE HATE U GIVE), Bob Teitel (BARBERSHOP franchise), and John Glenn (EAGLE EYE, CBS’s SEAL TEAM).
