The Hole in the Rabbit is Amy Sewell's second thriller-fiction novel. Pocket8s, her first, debuted in 2022. A published author, her nonfiction books include The Mad Hot Adventures of a Documentary Filmmaker (Hyperion, 2007) and She's Out There! The Next Generation of Presidential Candidates (LifeTime Media, 2009). Sewell is also a filmmaker best known for award-winning, audience-favorite MAD HOT BALLROOM. Other films include WHAT’S YOUR POINT, HONEY?, BLINDSPOT, GOOD MUSLIM GIRLS and just launched world premiere, SHAKE THESE BONES. Sewell is working on her next novel, The Fence, following two Gen Z sisters’ sudden exile from persecution when the United States turns from democracy to dictatorship without the help of their recently widowed (from their survivalist father), who must go care for their dying grandfather in the now fascist-core-base state of Florida. It’ll be Sewell’s first attempt at comedy to contrast her first two dark-in-nature novels. Sewell resides in NYC with her husband of 30 years (a feat), enjoys admiring her 20-something daughters with all they do, and is madly in love with Wanda, her rescue granddog.
