Anne Brooksbank was born in Melbourne, Australia, and graduated with an MA in History and English Literature from Melbourne University. She also studied painting at the National Gallery School. She has written eight novels, including On Loan, Archer, All My Love, Mother’s Day and Marriage Acts. Her novel, Father’s Day, was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards in 2012. She has also written extensively for film and television and has won six Australian Writers Guild Awards (AWGIEs). She has three children and two grandchildren. She lives in Sydney, Australia.
