Apple An grew up during China’s Cultural Revolution. She came to the U.S. in her 20s, earned a Ph.D., and works in New York. She considers her greatest accomplishment to be raising three successful children and being the guardian of her beautiful nephew and niece. She writes about her life and the lives of people she knows. Her short stories appear in various places, including Fiveminutelit, and fauxomir lit mag, among others. She hopes her writings enrich Asian American cultural heritage and history, thus enhancing cultural understanding and acceptance among all people.
