Austin Farmer is a musician, author, and filmmaker from Southern California. During his early high school years, Austin recorded with his band The Bolts in Capitol Records Studio B alongside the late Producer Andy Johns (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin).
His songs with The Bolts and Island Apollo have landed music licensing spots on MLB, NASCAR, Fox Sports, Nickelodeon, and more. Most recently, his production music created with brothers Addam and Heath Farmer can be heard in the video game MLB The Show 2021. Austin served as the Director of Music and Music Supervisor for multiple music libraries. He currently plays in bands Nada Robot, Island Apollo, and Superweapon, as well as cover bands at different theme parks. He is also the singer of Anthem San Diego Rush Tribute.
His original orchestral album, The Bookshelf Symphony Orchestra, an instrumental album for readers and writers inspired by some of his favorite books, can be found on all streaming services. His short story, Beethoven’s Baton, was published in Baker Street Irregulars Vol. 1 (Diversion Books, co-edited by Michael A. Ventrella and Jonathan Maberry).
For years, before shows with his bands, Austin would read and write stories while hanging out at coffee shops near venues. His coffee drink of choice is iced hazelnut coffee and his backpack is usually stuffed with too many books. He currently lives in San Diego, California.
