C. Scott Brown was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and a J.D. from the University of Utah. While he has spent most of his adult life practicing law, he has also worked as a farmer, construction estimator, playwright, and utility worker. Scott has a wife and two sons. He enjoys rocks, reading, hiking, cycling, and raising tomatoes.
