Born into a working-class family, Dan left high school early, enlisting in the Royal Australian Navy, primarily out of sheer boredom. Over an eleven-year service period, Dan was an honorary Royal Guardsman to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, instructed officer cadets from Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore in hand-to-hand combat, and lead a boarding party sweep team on International Coalition Against Terrorism duties in the Persian Gulf. Dan earned the Australian Service Medal (ASM), The Australian Active Service Medal (AASM), and the International Coalition Against Terrorism (ICAT) medal with the Iraq clasp. As an entrepreneur in post-service life, Dan managed fitness and lifestyle-based businesses before embarking on a career change as a writer, when Rogue Agent’s Tom Wiseman came to him in a series of dreams and universal downloads. Dan lives on the Sunshine Coast of Australia with his wife, Shelby, and their beloved whippet dogs.
