Daniel is a college lecturer of ESOL and English in the UK. He taught English in Italy, Japan, Poland and the UAE before returning to his home town. He is married with three young children. He enjoys researching and writing about less widely known civilisations, especially Mesopotamia. Daniel is a charity trustee, a union branch chairman and edits and proofreads novels. He loves sport, especially rugby, and reads autobiographies and historical fiction in his free time. His literary heros include Bernard Cornwell, Terry Pratchett and Haruki Murakami.
