Elena Graf has published ten volumes of contemporary fiction set in the fictional town of Hobbs, Maine, and four historical novels set in twentieth-century Europe. Two of the titles in the Passing Rites series have won Golden Crown Literary Society and Rainbow awards for best historical fiction. She pursued a Ph.D. in philosophy but ended up in the “accidental profession” of publishing, where she worked for almost four decades. She lives in coastal Maine.
