Frank Head was born in 1947 in Houston, Texas. He attended Vanderbilt University and then graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1969. Frank Head was born in 1947 in Houston, Texas. He attended Vanderbilt University and then graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1969. He has worked in great variety of occupations, from itinerant fruit picker to Director of Catholic Charities Immigration Services from which position he retired in 2019.
He married Phyllis Petrella Head in 1973 and lived with her from then until 1982 in various locations: central Mexico; northeastern Vermont; Austin and Houston, Texas. Since then they have lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas where they had six children and now enjoy their six grandchildren. Since 2019, he and his wife live on 50 acres in the Ozark wilderness bordering the Little Buffalo River.
