I was born in Glasgow but have travelled around a lot. I worked in I.T. for many years in a variety of industries and organisations - The Civil Service, Brewing and Distilling, Waste Disposal, Manufacturing (ERP software). I ended up in The City, working for a financial software company before deciding I'd had enough of I.T. I changed to Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Moscow while writing my first book - The Zima Confession
