John Gerts lives in the northern part of the lower peninsula in Michigan, USA, near the Lake Michigan shore. He walks along the beach with his wife, Margretta, every nice day.

John has been a blueberry picker, golf caddie, lawn caretaker, custodian, laundry sorter, and food picker/transporter. He has worked as a mover, handyman, horse handler, shoe salesman, busboy, barboy, truck camper assembler, awning installer, architect’s apprentice, draftsman, sale engineer, software engineer, software architect, systems analyst, network administrator, and director of information technology.

Now, John rises at the crack of dawn to write novels.
