J. K. Hall is a former award-winning newspaper journalist. Hall also held directorships in arts communications at The University of Iowa, Dartmouth College and Walker Art Center. He grew up in Iowa and lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is a Vietnam Era veteran. Rare Encounter: A War Novel is his debut book.
