Born and raised in Boston Massachusetts in the 70's and 80's to parents who battled the disease of addiction leading them to physically and sexually abusing their children until the State stepped in and removed the children from their care and placing me in protective custody where I was not allowed to have contact with my mother for many years. I not only share my experience in my mother's care but I also share my experiences being in protective custody. After being estranged from my family once the state released me back into society I reconnected with my biological family and began the long journey of healing.
