Μaria Nicholas (pen name: Maria Nikolaidis) was born in New York City and spent her teenage years in Athens, Greece. She is an award-winning designer, creative director, and educator with over 25 years of experience in visual communication and graphic and interactive design. In 2000, as part of her graduate studies, she wrote a pioneering thesis on the history of Greek advertising in the 20th century. She has been working to preserve and promote her father’s artistic legacy since 1999. Her acclaimed 2022 monograph on his life and career represents a lifelong dream for her and her family.
