Several of the latter have been published in the New York Times, Newsweek, USA Today and in three anthologies. The books divide between non-fiction (Because I Say So; Hope in Small Doses) and fiction (The Former Assassin; The Wedding Crasher, Bird in Hand and the forthcoming Freeze Before Burning. The last three form the Sam Tate mystery series.
