Phyllis Florin's essays have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, both the
daily paper and the Sunday Magazine, in other regional newspapers,
literary magazines and More Magazine. She contributed a chapter to
Elizabeth Berg’s book on writing, Escape into the Open (Random House)
and an essay to the anthology Fried Walleye and Cherry Pie, edited by
Peggy Wolff (University of Nebraska Press). Brought up on the prairie of
Minnesota, Phyllis lives in Tam Valley, California, with her husband,
Fabrice. At 77, this is her first novel.
