Radu Guiasu is a professor, biologist and author. He was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. He moved to Canada at the age of 18, following his high school graduation. He has earned four university degrees (three in biology and one in education), including a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Toronto, and is the author of two academic biology books, two books of fiction, numerous peer-reviewed scientific artticles, and a few published short works of humor. He is currently a tenured, award-winning (for both teaching and research) professor in the Biology Program on the Glendon campus of York University in Toronto. .
