The author holds a Ph.D from The University of Hawaii at Manoa and taught at the secondary and tertiary levels in four U.S. states, China, and South Korea over a span of 38 years. During his 11 years in China, the author was a foreign expert, lecturer, assistant professor, teacher trainer, and senior EFL textbook editor and writer. He was also the author of a new series of EFL extensive readers. He has a special interest in writing and reading books that bridge the gap in cultural understanding between the U.S. and China. His first work of fiction, a young adult novel set in contemporary Beijing, will be launched on Amazon Kindle Direct this July.
