Robert Henry Benson is the author of Through Both Eyes, a coming-of-age novel, and The Scarlet Kingfisher: discovery of a new species, a highly-rated suspense/adventure story about South Texas and its unique birds. He compiled and edited YARNSWOGGLE, an anthology of modern short fiction.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, Robert grew up chasing birds and bugs through Texas's dry, thorny environs. A scientist by profession and a naturalist at heart, he has written several scientific journal articles and contest-winning short stories.
