Robert Stark is a lifelong Alaskan. He joined the United States Army as an airborne infantryman five days after high school and was stationed with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy. On March 26, 2003, he parachuted into Northern Iraq during the invasion and spent 11 months patrolling around Kirkuk and the surrounding areas. He returned for a second tour in 2005 with the 101st Airborne Division. He currently lives off-grid with his family in Happy Valley, Alaska where they own and operate a small farm named Secret Garden Alaska.
