I am originally from the North of England, but now live in Stellenbosch, a lovely historical town in South Africa. Although I have never solved any real-life crimes, I have actually taught at international schools in Asia, so my stories about Hunter and Higashi, a crime-solving duo who attend a British school in Japan, are not completely pulled out of thin air. The Hunter and Higashi series represents an attempt to combine my experiences teaching abroad with a love of thrillers and mysteries. I am also seriously passionate about writing, literature in general, travelling, walking with my wife and my dog in the beautiful mountains near our home, and I have been practicing Zen meditation for many years.
