Stephen Tobias grew up on New York’s Lower East side, roller-skating in Washington Square Park and attending the same high school as Tony Curtis and Zero Mostel. He temporarily suspended his literary pursuits and has had a satisfying career as a family practice physician in Tacoma Washington, before returning to his first passion; writing. His first novel, “Outsider” was a Nancy Pearl finalist for best new fiction at the Pac N.W. writer’s conference.
