Suzanne Kamata is an American, but she has been living in Japan for over half of her life. She is the author or editor of several books including the award-winning young adult novels Gadget Girl: The Art of Being Invisible (GemmaMedia, 2013) and its sequel Indigo Girl (2019). She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and is currently an associate professor of Global Studies at Naruto University of Education. When she’s not teaching or writing, she loves to travel.
