T. Calvin Ward, MAOM, Pilot, and Happiness Advocate

T. Calvin Ward wanted to develop a book on happiness everybody would find beneficial. No pie-in-the-sky ideas or abstract concepts here. Thousands of hours of research and interviews are incorporated into the pages of Happiness to the 10th Power.

Calvin gathered his insights into solving the unhappiness problem through a broad array of proficiencies. He got his pilot’s license as a teenager and has many stories to tell as a result. He almost ended up in San Francisco Bay when one of the engines on the Apache aircraft he was flying decided to act up. He was relieved to land successfully on a San Francisco International runway!

Calvin attended San Jose State University, UC Berkeley, and the University of Phoenix, San Ramon. He has been nominated and accepted to the American Press Institute on three occasions. In addition to pursuing two degrees and a certificate, he’s taken “tons” of specialized training—much of it interpersonal. Other experiences include becoming an amateur radio operator and earning a black belt in Kung Fu. He’s traveled in Europe, China and Japan.

Calvin’s career has included making a difference for TIME INC, The National Association of REALTORS, the American Dietetic Association, the Arthritis Foundation, Careers & Colleges/CollegeXpress, and the Society for Human Resource Management. He’s currently changing the world one project at a time at America’s largest digital and print publisher.
