Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Tracy L. Adkins has been writing and journaling since she was knee-high to a June bug. She moved to North Georgia at age nine for an idyllic childhood on a 500-acre farm on the Etowah river. She graduated from high school in Blue Ridge, Georgia before beginning studies at Berry College and later graduating from the University of Georgia. She fell in love with Athens, Georgia upon her arrival in 1990 and has remained there ever since with the exception of a brief stint in Asheville, North Carolina, where she still loves to visit. She eventually spent 17 years writing software instructions, but decidedly prefers to compose prose, poetry, screenplays, and historical books. She spends her days in Athens writing and spoiling her four cats.
