I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of this book, and even though I was a little sceptical at first - this is the Lithuanian author's first book - I was blown away.
This is not an ordinary thriller, where someone is trying to uncover some sort of mystery. This is so much more. With two main characters, it's about a husband who tries to understand who his wife truly is; about the nature of their relationship, and whether control is healthy or desirable at all. Both are flawed, and as I read the character I supported changed - all the way to the epilogue.
I was left staring at the wall for a good 20 minutes, trying to understand who Jodie really is. Let me tell you, this book really challenges your morality. I can only hope more people would read this, so I could talk it over with them!
If you ever fancy a read with a weird relationship between a couple - here's a book for you!
It's got passionate scenes, sweet dialogues, naivety, 'what the hell just happened' moments and much more.
I loved it, and you will love it too! And this curse is often called 'a great read'. ENJOY!
What a page turner!! I admit I was a bit sceptical when I picked this book, but I ended up reading it all in a few days (and I am a slow reader). I only had this eagerness to see where the story was going when I first read the Da Vinci Code. 😊 I kept on guessing where the story would go, and I always guessed wrong, which kept me hooked right until the end! I highly recommend this book!
