All For The Love Of Danilo
Michael Wayne, author
Jackie Kincaid was a fire eyed, anything goes, thrill seeker, who loved life and fought mediocrity like a disease. She pushed herself and her friends into an exciting life of extreme sports until the love of her life smiled, waved, threw her a kiss, then leaped to his death from the top of Angel Falls, Venezuela.
She blames herself for the tragedy and endured the past year in self-inflicted isolation on the verge of suicide. She was a carefree spirit one day and the next day is suddenly haunted by torturous dreams as if she had just woken from a coma. Her friends refuse to watch her self-destructive behavior any further and insist on a fact-finding mission return to Venezuela where tragedy struck.
Jacque, a fighter in every sense of the word, initially resists pressure from her friends, Ramón, Angela, and Rachel to return to the Venezuelan jungle where tragedy struck. An unexpected visit from HSI agents suggests that her lover may in fact still be alive and compels her to discover the truth.
Returning to the Venezuelan jungle brings unexpected help from a speechless tribal shaman with the aid of his loyal young companion and a doctor referenced in a mysterious, cryptic letter. She struggles to find the answers she seeks but discovers much more than she ever bargained for including her lover’s discovery. The more she digs, the deeper and more perplexing the puzzle becomes. She eventually learns that her lover is still alive and her past year of hell was the result of him trying to hide his discovery from cartels.
