Anna's perfect life has become a category 5 disaster.
A hurricane destroying her home is only the beginning of Anna's troubles. Her ex, Eric, plasters private photos of her on billboards all over the city and across the internet. The backlash against her makes the storm look tame: She's suspended from her job. Her current boyfriend dumps her. The cops blame her for the pictures. Her friends vanish.
Trapped in despair, Anna spirals out of control. When she hits rock bottom, holding Eric accountable is her only way out of the mess her life's become. He's always seemed untouchable, but if there's one thing this experience has taught her, it's that no one is too perfect to be brought down.
She just has to create a perfect storm of her own.

Reviews
A victim of revenge porn strikes back in the impressive latest from Heffernan (Finding Tranquility). Anna Guerra, a 30-something children’s fashion executive, loses her New Jersey house to a hurricane. While staying with Jay Epstein, her boyfriend and colleague, in New York City, her jealous ex Eric Rutherford posts nude photos of Anna online along with her contact information and claims that Anna is a sex worker. Jay goes cold on Anna, and she’s fired due to a morality clause in her contract. Anna then hires powerhouse lawyer Meili Chang to sue Eric, determined to make him pay. In court, Eric’s lawyer attacks Anna over her history with depression, and for sending Eric the nude photos consensually while they were still dating a year earlier. Heffernan does a solid job of developing the strong-willed Anna, whose backstory involves a horseback riding accident that caused her to lose a foot. While the ending is a bit pat, the intricate lawsuit will keep readers piqued. This uplifting courtroom drama is worth a look. (Self-published)
