Twenty year old Alex is inquiring of his 95 year great-grandfather,PapaBear, how his cousin Tyler is getting along in America.  The year is 2033 and the place is thousands of square miles of leased land in the Russian Far East, part of Siberia, now known as New America. Tyler is a college student trying to figure out why Socialism in America is not working very well.  PapaBear relates the stories of Ty's best friend, his coed sweetheart, his favorite professor, and the pitfalls of socialism.  The story moves to New America where social, political, and economic issues are working ideally. Lastly, the tale's ending is a surprise which should delight the reader.
