Jet Trails is a sort of coming-of-age story for a woman who has lived life -- worked, had a career, married, raised her children, and all the rest -- but who has suddenly been forced to reinvent herself. In this case, Meara's husband has died leaving her with a bunch of "couple" plans that won't work now that she's solo. The novel is a sort of Boomer travel adventure and romance.
