Little Red, the Detective
Lois Wickstrom, author
Grandma has been teaching Little Red Riding Hood to recognize flowers. When Grandma asks Little Red to visit for her new sweater fitting, she asks Red to bring her coneflowers for tea. Little Red has her flower identification book with her, to make sure she gets the right ones. She tells the wolf about Grannie and the tea. The wolf gives her the wrong flowers, but she isn't fooled. But it takes her time to find the right flowers and check them in her flower identification book. By the time she gets to Grandma's house, the wolf has done his sneaky deed. Little Red is suspicious. She gets out her fingerprint kit and takes the wolf's prints. They don't match Grandma's. How will she use her knowledge to rescue Grandma and capture the wolf?
