This book was "heavy" on my spirit. Especially in the current climate of the world. I found myself stopping several times before I could continue. Did it end well? Of course...but it was such a reminder of the loss and sacrifices our people have endured. It's definitely a great book for a Book Club to discuss.
This was everything. I swear this books was definitely worth the wait. Mafdet was awesome in the other book, however this book just showed how she came be the strong, caring , loving, and fierce being that she is. Her pain and since failure and lost had me near tears. This series flowed so well and kept me up well into the early morning to finish. Great Job.
Awesome writer of powerfully compelling stories that makes you remember the beauty of black love and family ties! I hated to see the story end!
Been along time since a book made me feel so much!! I was on a roller coaster of happiness, excitement, heart break and joy! This was a great series, what’s up next?? 😁 Nothing like ugly crying driving down the interstate during the traveling chapter 🥺😢😩😭
This such such a great tale which will take you on a journey of adventure and danger.
This was a long story but well written. With so many emotions from me. That love Hondo had for his family is so uplifting. Mafdet said it best “family, friends, & nation. This book took me back to the 1st book in this series, had me reading a 2nd time. Wonderful story, Ms. Jones, you did not disappoint me💕💕
