Nosferatu: The Numen Chronicles Volume One (Original)

When a rogue werewolf attacks one of the towns Alucard protects, he suspects the wolves are planning something. While investigating, he has to ensure he moves the vampires from Zalith's world. But that task pulls him away from his werewolf hunt, and a dangerous Alpha reveals itself, killing three humans. Alucard tries to slay the beast, but he struggles and is almost killed before Zalith turns up and saves him. They fight the wolf together, and when Zalith is pinned, Alucard slays the beast, saving his life. Although appreciative, both Alucard and Zalith aren't any more keen on working together.
With the rogues dealt with, Alucard finds balance between his two tasks. But on his way to collect more vampires, he discovers a traitor on his ship. The man was sent by the cult hunting Alucard, and he fears they may find him. He puts his people on high alert, and while they search for cultists, werewolf queen Ada sneaks under Alucard's nose and begins preparing her retaliation against Alucard for killing her werewolves. Outnumbered and exhausted from transferring vampires, Alucard once again seeks Zalith's assistance.
Alucard and Zalith work together to stop Ada from destroying the treaty and killing his vampires, and along the way, the pair discover that they have more in common than they thought. Through impressing one another with their fighting abilities and saving each other from werewolves and cultists, they fall for each other.
But Alucard has secrets. He is forbidden by Damien to get close to anyone, and although he tries resisting, he can't keep himself from falling in love with Zalith. He caves, and as a result, Damien threatens to kill Zalith. In an attempt to save his life, Alucard breaks it off with him once the vampire mission is complete. But Zalith loves him too much to let go and promises that he'll find a way for them to be together.
Months later, the werewolves are gone, there are no signs of cultists, and Alucard is back to working himself to death for Damien. But then he gets a letter from Zalith, who killed every person possible who Damien could replace him with. He asks Alucard to meet, and he agrees. Although it's dangerous, Zalith doesn't want to let Alucard go, and he and Alucard agree to pursue a relationship once Alucard returns from his new mission given by Damien.
