For all the striking, research-backed insights, Gavoni’s tone bounces from serious to crass—he’s fond of the capped, half-censored term “A$$ CLOWNS”—which may put off some readers. A glossary, checklists, and a heartfelt epilogue all add to the book’s value and utility.
