This book is a sci-fi journey into a world that at times seems to have lost its mind (like our own ironically) cats popping out of portals, weird rooms where mysterious "stuff" happens and a crazy master mind doctor controlling it all. I found it to be original, fun, and occasionally humorous. It's a quick read and worth picking up.
This was a wild ride of a story the author described as alternative reality fiction. The book was a page-turning, enthralling espionage light thriller. At the end, the author explained the cool graphics throughout the book helped him stay on track since this was his debut novel. They enhance the storyline since this would be a decent graphic novel. I look forward to reading more by this author and hope this does become a series.
I basically read it in one sitting
I purchased some eBooks for memorial day long weekend. I had the whole three days off and just wanted to be enveloped by a good book. Once you are in this book the pages turn like butter - very smoothly you move from one thing to the next, the plot is mesmerizing. Cynthia Austen is sent to Alaska to evaluate a scientific project that keeps getting reports of scientific misconduct. Within these tribulations is often another, underlying story of resilience and renewal. I found this both entertaining and enjoyable so definitely give it a go.
