I loved this story between Kya and Armstrong. Kya was not looking for love but what she found with Armstrong was wonderful. This was an interesting story about two worlds, human and dragon shifter coming together for love. I enjoyed how this paranormal story was well-developed and how the story just flowed.
When Kya flew to the U.S. she was only looking for a mentor. What she found in Armstrong was the love of her life ! This dragon shifter story shows that love and family is stronger than rules and customs. ND Jones once again has mastered the paranormal genre!

I loved that Kya was not a shapeshifter, she wasn’t even from Earth, but her powerful magic could create a beautiful woman where a fierce dragon once stood. I was also taken by the fact that Armstrong fell in love with the dragon, not the woman Kya could become.
This isn’t a rapid-fire action tale, it is a love story gone so very wrong when evil steps in. Don’t get me wrong, there is action and those scenes are powerful and emotionally charged. But for me, it was the extremes two beings would go to for those they loved. And that ending? All I can say is I was caught up in its web…N.D. Jones has a hit here that will sucker-punch your heart! Publishing just in time for great summer reading!
