I was a history teacher for thirty years and I wrote a book on the American Revolution. My goal was to tell the story of how our great country changed the world in culture, society, and politics. I wrote a romance that intertwined as many facts about that time period as I could. I talked about the melting pot of people into America ( black and white slavery) and put real military personnel that was involved in American battles.
