A gifted undergraduate, his girlfriend, and an archeology professor unwittingly team up with a nefarious Middle Eastern arms dealer to search for the lost Inca gold worth hundreds of millions of dollars, hidden in the remote mountains of the Llanganatis in Ecuador. Over the last five hundred years, many have searched for the gold, a few have perished, but no one has found it. Their virtual search leverages cutting-edge technology, combining artificial intelligence with state-of-the-art satellite imagery. The main character has to overcome his own set of challenges, as well as the Llanganatis, in his search for the gold. As the team prepares to enter the mountains, technology takes a back seat to the harsh realities of the Llanganatis.
