Julia Stone moves from Jacksonville, Florida back to Charleston, South Carolina after the death of her husband. In the process of moving she finds the name and number of an old lover. She tries to find Adam but runs into dead ends. She does find that Adam is a CIA agent and is missing in action. She rejoins the FBI and takes the adventure down a dangerous rabbit hole chasing Adam around the world. She deals with multiple government agencies in the U.S. Russia, Germany, Iceland, China, Italy, and the Cayman Islands. She chases romance, crooked government officials that sold confidential secret U.S intelligence information.
