The Untold Stories of Madison Avenue
Guy Who Knows, author
There is an old question which is, can money buy you happiness? The short answer is No, the longer answer is my book called ‘The Untold Stories of Madison Avenue’.
I am the Guy Who knows, your modern day, ‘gossip -girl’ only real. I arrived in New York City over a decade ago and landed a key position as salon manager in a Madison Avenue upscale hair salon, home to socialites and tastemakers of New York. With my irresistible charm and bitchy attitude, the ladies of the Upper East side couldn’t resist the urge to include me in their lives and share with me their stories and secrets. The more I heard the stories the more it dawned on me, people of the Upper East Side are not like the rest of us, not even like the rest of New York – THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW what happen north to 59th St. This idea gave birth to The Untold Stories of Madison Avenue.
The book provides a glimpse into the exclusive world of the wealthy and renowned, revealing tales about Blondie's scandalous behavior on 5th Avenue that resulted in her being expelled from her own building, or Mary Middleton has been constructing her house for the last decade due to her perfectionist tendencies. Meanwhile, she resides in a luxurious 5-star hotel on Madison Avenue with her three beloved dogs, even though her husband is unaware of two of them. Additionally, Mary generously donates $10,000 per month to support a cow in the Hamptons in her free time.
Loreali, a beloved American sweetheart who many of us love to hate due to her past, is the subject of one of my favorite stories. Her tale serves as a cautionary example of how one's fortunes can turn on a dime. In her case, she betrayed a friend by forcing them to foot her rent bill for an entire year, resulting in her being shunned from Madison Avenue with a restraining order to boot.
There are much more stories about friendship gone wrong, sex-parties extravaganza, a fashion princess who fly her beauty people during covid under complete scrutiny and even a dog birthday party at whopping cost of $1,000,000 dollar! The final story called ‘From China With Love’ telling the story of high-class call girl who managed to climb up the social ladder, the story is ending with cliff hanger leaving the readers wanting more and also preparing them for Volume Two of the Untold Stories.
Thirty – seven stories inspired by real people and events, each chapter describes another character and her story and sometimes the characters’ lives intertwine. All names and details were changed to protect everyone’s identity. The chapters begin by introducing the character and her backgrounds and dive into her issues on hand and end by a conclusion about the situation from the point of view of the Guy Who Knows.
