This was such a good fantasy filled break from my normal romance reading. This book is all about this girl, Ryanne, who is touched by fae, meaning she has some small fae powers even though she’s human. A man, who is essentially a pirate, tries to kidnap her but instead gets kidnapped himself by her mentor. She realizes that she had been kept in the dark about a lot of the fae world and about her own background and is set upon a quest to see if this pirate had a spark in him like fae do. Through this quest, she is able to learn more about her powers and also ends up having feelings for the pirate.

Overall, I felt like this was such a good and well balanced novel. I loved the characters and I cared about what happened next to them. The world building was also awesome. I loved the building dynamic of Titus figuring out emotions while Ryanne is teaching him and they end up building their relationship. I hope there is a sequel about what happens next!
