Two Keys to Enter a Parallel World
Don Moore, author
Despite a tragic beginning with the untimely loss of their parents, Kenja and Teddy’s ten-year upbringing with their grandparents in Witchenbrook, outside the Osaken People's properties, brought a new level of awareness and opportunity to Kenja’s life. During his formative years, he was immersed in various native teachings from his grandfather's perspective, balanced by the many influences from his non-native grandmother. This delicate balance in life continued into his young adult years as he delved into shamanic journeying at the Culture Centre, trying to establish a link between his hockey coaching career and social life.
Kenja's life was severely impacted when his beloved Grandmother Dawnlilly passed away, suddenly uprooting him from his known neighbourhood and young friends and exposing him to an entirely different world, one that was painfully challenging. As time passed, Kenja's brother Teddy started to thrive in their new home and surroundings, located in a city that primarily white people inhabited. He became fixated while more at ease with his new environment.
Teddy didn't just attend school. He devoured it. He consumed information like a ravenous cheetah, seemingly with no limit to what he could absorb. While gaining entry to Harvard Medical School was no easy feat, it was not impossible or left unchallenged. Teddy entered Harvard with eagerness, determination, and one objective in mind. He emerged as Dr. Edward Rodgers, a neurosurgeon from Harvard’s hallowed halls, a testament to his unwavering dedication and hard work.
