Kenneth Liddane is a qualified hypnotherapist and mind coach. He is currently studying and practicing holistic counselling and psychotherapy, and has no plans to pull back on his sense of curiosity and quest to find out more about the mind, and how best to support individuals that are struggling with their mental health.
With a history in customer service, manufacturing, and design, counselling and psychotherapy was not an obvious choice in relation to career progression, but for Kenneth, it was the most natural.
Having suffered from depression in the past, it took him a long time to recover, or even seek help. Due to a lack of understanding, a perceived lack of options, a negative perception of therapy, with a generous helping of stubbornness thrown in, not only was the road to recovery hindered, but it also provided him with the unique opportunity to see how utterly debilitating it can be.
It was a combination of this understanding, and a realisation that he needed help, that drove him to study the mind, and to find out more about the unknown aspects about the unconscious.
From what he has learned and experienced throughout his life and in college, he can identify with individuals who are struggling with their mental health, and who are unaware of possible options that can help them out of a difficult situation. He also recognised that even a basic understanding of why we think, feel and behave the way we do, can help to ease the frustration and confusion that can be associated with understanding our own mental health and realising our full potential.
This insight inspired him to write this book, and to coincide with the book release he is very proud to announce the launch of his new business “A Helping Mind” (www.ahelpingmind.com), where he has developed a platform to provide options, knowledge and support, through personal therapy, books, workshops and online courses for those in need.
