Hello, my name is Melissa Winston. I take great pride in being a devoted wife and mother to ten beautiful children. I have dedicated a significant portion of my life to raising a happy and healthy family. Additionally, I am actively involved in serving my community. I own and operate Divine Favor Community Center, located on the west side of Chicago, and I have worked diligently as a minister at my local church, spreading goodwill in both local and wider communities. Writing this book has been an absolute pleasure, as it has allowed me to revisit the many beautiful moments my family has experienced and the hardships we have overcome. I was raised in the projects, which were some of the best years of my childhood. Despite being unfairly labeled and misunderstood, I cherished those years. This book is my way of showing the world our true story, starting with my mother’s. Through these pages, I celebrate the incredible friends who remain a vital part of my life.
